Kanagawa's Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival 湘南ひらつか七夕まつり in early July is worth seeing, with lots of neat lanterns that light up at night! It's a pretty big area so you can definitely spend a couple of hours here. Tons of food stalls too!
