Bubó Barcelona apparently has the World's Best Chocolate Cake and there's one in Tokyo!
On Omotesando 表参道 (between Subway's Jingu-Mae Station 神宮前駅 and Omotesando Station 表参道駅), turn into the small street between "Tokyo Union Church" and Burberry then make a right. It'll be on your left hand side diagonally across from Dominique Ansel Bakery, which sells frozen s'mores torched right in front of you & original cronuts!! Xabina, "World's Best Chocolate Cake" from World Pastry Cup in 2005, is 1000 yen and the lighter colored Sahara, which is only available in Japan with citrus yuzu inside, is 840 yen. Not sure about it being the very best but both mousse cakes are nice, especially Xabina. They've also got pastries, similarly priced cakes, and other nicely packaged snacks. You can take it to go (they give you lots of ice packs) or have it at the cafe upstairs with drinks from 450 yen to 900 yen. Really good service. There was no line at all when I went on a weekday afternoon. |
