Naritasan Shinshoji Temple 成田山新勝寺 is walkable from Narita Station, which is 10 minutes by train from the airport. It is one of the most-visited-on-New-Year's-Day temples and Naritasan Park 成田山公園 right by it is a nice big park with ponds and beautiful Japanese garden features.
