| Tokyo Game Show is on in mid September at Makuhari Messe 幕張メッセ a short walk from Kaihin Makuhari Station 海浜幕張駅 in Chiba, 20 minutes past the stop for Disneyland. Like AnimeJapan, it's an exhibition with many booths, some with games to try, but I came here for the cosplayers and those cool promotional plastic file folders. In 2016, there are a lot more VR experience booths than the previous year. You can buy tickets beforehand at convenience stores' machines for 1000 yen. It's always pretty hot inside since there's no air conditioning and September often has summer temperatures. |
